The Who are one of the most influential rock bands of all time and were at the forefront of the British invasion of bands that conquered the USA in the 60s selling over 100 million records worldwide.

Formed in 1964 they quickly established themselves as part of the pop art and mod movements. Their first single, 'I Can't Explain', was in the UK top ten for thirteen weeks followed by a string of further hit singles including the iconic 'My Generation', 'Substitute' and ‘The Kids Are Alright'.

Following the release of rock opera ‘Tommy’ and subsequent appearances at Woodstock and The Isle of Wight festivals their reputation snowballed into mega stardom. Their live shows were explosive and unpredictable with many memorable performances carved deeply in to the annals of rock music - the album ‘Live at Leeds’ is widely regarded as the best live album ever recorded.

Thus followed albums, ‘Tommy,’ ‘Who’s Next’, ‘Quadrophenia’ and more producing many huge hits and anthems such as ‘Won’t Get Fooled Again’, ‘Baba O’Riley,’ ‘Pinball Wizard’, ’Who Are You’, and ‘5:15’

Their songs still receive regular exposure in film radio and TV with the top-rating ‘CSI’ television programme using Who songs as theme tunes in every episode!
